Foreclosure Homes for Sale in Pierce, CO

About Foreclosure Listings in Pierce

Pierce is another small Weld County town north of Ault — school, post office, and open plains. Buyers here are typically looking for acreage or a small-town primary residence with a quick commute to Greeley or the oilfield.

The Housing Story In Pierce

Pierce is a town of about 1,100 people on US-85, sixteen miles north of Greeley and twenty-one from Fort Collins by way of CO-14. It was incorporated in 1918 and named for General John Pierce, president of the Denver Pacific Railroad, which is the reason a town this size has a Main Street at all. People buy here for the same reason they buy in Ault or Eaton — a real town with a grocery store and a school district, at a price that has not caught up with Fort Collins, and twenty minutes from a job in either direction.

Buyer's Notes From Christine

Foreclosure inventory in Pierce — real REO or short-sale listings, not the "pre-foreclosure" lead-generation lists you'll see on some sites — moves in and out of the MLS quickly. Buying one is very different from a standard resale: the property is usually sold as-is, financing is trickier, and you're competing with cash investors. Call before you write an offer.
